Andrew's Birthday-2

 When everyone started to sing happy birthday, Andrew had the biggest smile on his face. As if he was thinking... "They are singing to me!" It was precious... something I don't ever want to forget.  I was afraid he would cry! Nope!

 I changed his shirt to a nice green number :) The birthday hat only lasted a few seconds :) 

This was a first in my family...my Grandmother wasn't quite sure what was going on! Everyone loved the idea of Andrew digging in a cake!

It was a busy, exhausting, fun, and exciting day! Hoping for his 2nd birthday, we can have it at our house :) My little guy will be 18 months on Saturday! Time is flying !

Andrew's Birthday Party-1

Okay, this is really over due. Kinda sad I am just now doing this post! I didn't get all the pics I wanted either! Boo! So, next time I will plan for more time and more help. Then I can take the photos I want... :)

I created the party favors myself. They were so simple, easy and delicious :) Skittles filled the clear bags and they were just so cute! They said, "Thanks for Crawling Over to Andrew's 1st Birthday!" When I was told they would supply the white table cloths..I didn't expect to see the floral pattern. Yes, probably only something I noticed...but ewe!

Each table had three different colored balloons (red,green & yellow) with a caterpillar and favors. No picture of this...darn!

I was soo proud of my caterpillar balloon! I made the eyes and nose :)

We ordered some cupcakes and a cute little smash cake! They were adorable!

I whipped up some cute cupcake toppers and of course one for his cake!

I also had some pictures of Andrew put throughout the table.

I even had water bottle labels made :) I loved them!

I really wanted to make sure I had a few kid activities so I found The Very Hungry Caterpillar coloring sheets and printed them off. They were a hit! Everyone was coloring..which was great!

There were a nice handful of kids at this birthday. That was definitely a first for me!! I think I did good with keeping the party moving..and keeping all entertained! We brought a few of Andrews push toys..which were a hit! 

It was the night before when I whipped up a cute little TVHC shirt for my birthday boy! He looked soo cute and everyone loved it!

We had a copy of the Very Hungry Caterpillar and had everyone sign it like a guest book! He can always look back and see who was at his party.  You can also see some of the bubbles I gave the kids at the end of the party. I used the same water bottle labels to add some cuteness!

So, that is that! The room looked so fun with all the balloons..I wish I would have a picture of the room! I mean, I completely over did it with balloons and I LOVED it!!! In fact, I had to give a lot of them away on our way out because I had no way of getting them home! :)

One Last Beach Trip!

This summer has definitely flown by... and we are in September already. It is true. The older you get..the faster time flies! I have been really trying to "be" in the moment..everyday with Andrew.  In fact, I'm currently reading and re-reading The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success. I totally recommend it..

We will hopefully hear back soon about where we will be moving next. It has really kept me on edge waiting...and waiting.. Again, we have no control..and need to just hang on this roller coaster ride. I'll be excited when the ride comes to an end :)  

In the mean time, we have been enjoying our summer. We just got back from the beach with family. Andrew had a great time in the water this time! We went to Sunset Beach, NC.

Teepee & Lamb The Man

We had some family photos taken last weekend. Its been a while that we had all of us behind the camera! It is a bit more challenging with Andrew :) He doesn't want to sit down...nor take any advice I may give... :) what he wants to do is run around and explore! I was a bit worried..we didn't a single family shot but when the photographer sent over a few to check out...I was completely surprised!

 

We LOVE our teepee tent! You can snatch one up over at Be Little You and Me. It is an indoor and outdoor fabric. We currently keep it in his play area.

Lamb The Man is pretty important in our house...so he had to be a part of our day!

Busy Busy!

It has been one busy summer... not exactly sure where time has gone?! 

A lot of miles has been clocked! 

We celebrated my BIL's 40th birthday this past weekend. It was nice to have other family members chasing after my LO! :) He is non-stop.... let me repeat.. non-stop! Before we left, we all got together for some family pictures. It was a Penn State themed party....hence our attire! I wish they would have included our feet! :)

Then, my SIL captured these two pictures.. melt my heart! My little Love!

I chopped off my hair again :-( I lost soo much hair after giving birth..and then having thyroid problems that I really had no choice but to cut it short..and allow the new re-growth have some time to catch up. I can't wait till my hair feels normal again! In the mean time..the short hair is cute but difficult when you just want to pull it back!

Andrew is starting to really test us... So, now Mr. Southbay and I must get together and figure out how to "tackle" this sticky situation.  Ugh the joys of parenting...  We are heading to the beach this weekend. I can't wait to spend more time on the beach with our Andrew! He is now walking independently and refuses to hold your hand :-(  So, this will be a different beach experience! A ton more memories to be made!   

Last weekend I also did a one day bus trip with my Mother to the US Open in NY. It was a day away from Andrew. I missed him terribly...praying Daddy followed his scheduled. We had beautiful weather...and just relaxed watching some matches and some pros warming up. It kinda made me miss tennis.... I had to buy one of those huge over-sized tennis balls for Andrew.... just had to! Pics to come!

Our lil man is getting so big!
